• 06/22/06: Diagrams of Planned Additions & Renovations for Summer 2006
  

  The 2006 summer work at Stone High School is funded by 2002 Sinking Fund, Capital Needs, 2004 Bond and 2005 Sinking Fund. 
  The scope of work includes: Mechanical and electrical upgrades; Addition of gymnasium; Office Renovations; Classroom renovations

Goal:

• To modernize various features of the building and update instructional technology.

Key Elements of the Plan:

• Build new gymnasium
• Remodel pod two classroom
  (flooring, ceilings, window blinds)
• Remodel pod three classroom
  (flooring, ceilings, casework)
• Replace main entry door system
• Expand main office
• Install new electrical panels
• Increase secondary electrical distribution
• Upgrade security system
• Upgrade telephone system and install cable television as needed
• Replace exit hardware
• Install identification sign
• Replace boilers/ interconnect systems
• Replace unit ventilator
• Replace galvanized water main
• Install wireless infrastructure
• Abatement allowance

Features and Benefits:

• Remodeling will enhance classroom atmosphere
• Expansion of the main office will improve security and operations
• Addition of new gymnasium will enhance physical education instruction
• New flooring, ceilings, casework and window treatments will improve classroom atmosphere
• Wireless infrastructure, telephones, and cable television will improve the technological capabilities for all curriculum offerings

• $2,975,700

Target Completion:

• Fall 2007
